Dear Parents/Guardians,
This email serves as a reminder that this Thursday, October 29th (4:00 - 7:30 PM) and Friday, October 30th (8:40 - 11:35 AM) we will be holding Parent-Teacher conferences. All parents should have signed up for a conference time with your child’s homeroom teacher and also indicated if they wanted to meet in-person or virtually/phone.
For parents who have selected in-person conferences, we are asking that you follow these guidelines when arriving at school for your conference:
- All parents/guardians must wear a mask at all times in the building.
- Hand sanitizer will be available upon entering the building as well as in classrooms.
- Please arrive on-time and enter the building only a few minutes prior to your conference starting. Please report directly to your child’s homeroom classroom and do not walk around the building. When your conference is done, please exit the building immediately.
- When coming to the conference, only 1-2 parents/guardians may attend. No additional siblings and/or family will be allowed to attend.
- When entering the classroom, teachers will have a designated location for you to sit that will be 6+ feet away from the teacher. Table surfaces will be wiped down between conferences.
- Conferences will follow a very strict time guideline. Teachers will be asked to set a 10-minute timer at the start of the conference. The 10 minute mark will be a reminder that the conference will need to conclude in the next 3-5 minutes.
We appreciate your support in following these guidelines. We understand the value and importance of parent-teacher conferences, but also want to assure that we are taking appropriate precautions for everyone’s health benefit.
If you are unable to follow these guidelines and/or would now prefer to meet with your child’s teacher via a virtual meeting and/or phone call, please contact your child’s teacher directly by Wednesday, October. 28th.
Sincerely,
Erin Zigler
